What is Botox® Cosmetic?

Botox® Cosmetic is a nonsurgical treatment used to soften facial lines by relaxing the muscles that cause frown lines. The treatment itself consists of a series of small injections of a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum. The treatment takes only minutes, must be administered by a doctor, and is approved by the FDA. Results can be seen within days, and generally last for up to 4 months.
